BOA® Dialed In Summit – A+A 2025 – Düsseldorf
At the BOA® Dialed In Summit, over 100 leading figures from the global workwear sector gathered to investigate what performance truly signifies in the demanding realm of workwear - hand how precision and superior fit drive peak achievement.
“We are privileged to work with the world’s best brands to inspire and enable peak performance,” said Shawn Neville, CEO of BOA® Technology, as he wrapped up the BOA® Dialed In Summit held in Düsseldorf.
From Elite Athletes to Top-Performing Trade Workers
On stage with Shawn Neville were top-tier BOA® athletes — Austrian alpine ski legend Benni Raich, Tour de France 2023 champion Kasia Niewiadoma, alpinist Nicolas Hojac, ultra-trail runner Florian Grasel, and speed-record holder and trade work expert Markus Stöckel — each sharing how the right fit enhances performance at the highest levels. Dan Feeney, Ph.D., VP of Partner Product Innovation and Development, also joined to describe biomechanics and how BOA® conducts its scientific research to underline the proofen performance advantages.
BOA® collaborates closely with people who push human performance to the limit — across sports and workwear. From Benni Raich skiing at his peak to Kasia Niewiadoma striving to win the Tour de France, Florian Grasel covering 330 km through the Alps, and Nicolas Hojac tackling Switzerland’s toughest north faces, each tale shows how precision fit and performance go together.
Performance Fit Lab – Science Behind Proven Results
The Summit also highlighted the BOA® Performance Fit Lab, where science meets innovation. Dan Feeney, Ph.D., VP of Partner Product Innovation and Development, explained how years of biomechanical research back BOA®s performance claims. Since its establishment in 2018, the Performance Fit Lab has conducted more than 2,000 scientific tests and published five peer-reviewed studies, proving measurable gains in energy efficiency, stability, and control.
“We are dedicated to working with the world’s leading brands to deliver meaningful, scientifically proven solutions that improve fit and performance. In workwear, our focus is ensuring that in the toughest conditions, BOA® delivers superior stability, energy efficiency and durability — reducing fatigue and improving safety,” said Feeney.
PerformFit™ Wrap – The Future of Workwear
An example of this innovation is the BOA® PerformFit™ Wrap, an advanced upper design that wraps over the midfoot, delivering superior heel hold, enhanced midsole connection and greater forefoot freedom. Scientific testing has shown:
Reduced fatigue over the course of longer activities - up to 9% improved energy efficiency.
The ability to move more effectively and precisely in variable conditions - up to 7% improved stability and control.
While these results were first proven in trail running, their impact extends seamlessly to workwear, confirming that BOA®s proven performance technologies benefit everyone who relies on their gear — from elite athletes to top-performing trade workers.
Redefining Performance
The BOA® Dialed In Summit 2025 delivered a clear message: performance isn’t confined to podiums or finish lines — it’s embedded in every step, every task, and every shift. BOA® keeps advancing innovation through science, collaboration and a precise fit — enabling people to perform at their best, no matter where they work, play or push their limits to go further and surpass boundaries. In short: start better and finish stronger.
