MARCH 19, 2026 | LJUBLJANA

Momentum is building in Ljubljana in preparation for The Better-Cities Event, which is taking place from Tuesday to Friday, next week. As Europe’s leading event for city changemakers prepares to welcome around 1,600 urban leaders, two key moments stand out for media and the public alike: an official press conference and a unique live art experience in the heart of the city.

A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME MOMENT: GREG GOYA LIVE IN LJUBLJANA
Before the conference officially begins, Urban Future will bring a moment of connection and creativity to the city.

On Saturday, March 21 at 15:00, Italian street artist Greg Goya will be live at Ljubljana’s iconic Triple Bridge, creating an interactive public artwork.

Known for his installations that spark a sense of belonging, Goya invites passersby to engage directly with his work – turning public space into a shared emotional experience.

This will be a short, spontaneous window of opportunity:
For a few hours only, visitors will be able to witness and interact with the artwork as it unfolds in real time.

Urban Future warmly invites media, locals, and visitors to be part of this unique moment in the city – one that reflects the spirit of the event: human connection, creativity, and reimagining public space.

PRESS CONFERENCE – MARCH 25, 9:00 AM
To kick off “The Better-Cities Event”, Urban Future invites accredited media to a 20-minute press conference ahead of the official opening ceremony.

The press conference offers insights into the key themes shaping this year’s event and Ljubljana’s role as a hub for sustainable urban innovation.
