    Finn Juhl’s ”Chieftain Chair” exceeded expectations with an impressive hammer price of DKK 860,000 (€ 150,000 including buyer’s premium) as Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers of Fine Art concluded the final auction of the year in Bredgade, Copenhagen.

    At the last international auction of the year in Copenhagen, we will be offering three of the most iconic Nordic furniture classics – Alvar Aalto’s Paimio Chair (1931–32), Finn Juhl’s Chieftain Chair (1949) and Jonas Bohlin’s Concrete Chair (1980).

  • Finn Juhl - Interior 52

    At the upcoming international auction at Bruun Rasmussen in Copenhagen we have the pleasure of presenting a number of the models that Finn Juhl used in 1951 for Interior 52 at Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum in Trondheim (Norway’s National Museum of Decorative Arts and Design).

  • Avantgarde Art 1960 + 1970 - Exhibition in Paris

    While the famous art fair "Biennale des Antiquaires" is being held at the Grand Palais, Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers of Fine Art will for the third time exhibit its most coveted paintings and furniture pieces at the auction association Drouot in Paris. This time there is a special focus on international avant-garde art from the 1960s to the 70s.

  • Peder Moos' Museum Table and Private Letters up for Auction

    ​At this autumn's international design auction in Copenhagen, we can present the Danish cabinetmaker and designer Peder Moos' "Museum Table", which only exists in very few copies. It was commissioned by the Dane Gert Poulsen, who has also kept a unique series of letters from Moos, which were written during the production of the table.

  • Across Mine-Filled Waters with Peder Moos

    ​The uncompromising Danish cabinetmaker Peder Moos has created several of the furniture pieces at Bruun Rasmussen’s international spring auction for design – including a unique stool, which was part of the exhibition ”Danish Art Treasures – through the ages” in London in 1948. The preview opens on Thursday 25th February and the auction is held on Thursday 10th March.
