2nd Vasa Orienteering Festival in Changchun

International Vasa Student Cultural Exchange is hosted by Sweden, China, Japan and USA. In accordance with the philosophy and goals of the International Vasa Skiing Exchange established in 1990, the International Vasaloppet Student Cultural Exchange (IVSCE) is designed to promote intercultural understanding through a student exchange.

The goal of this exchange is to foster an appreciation of cultural similarities and differences among the four countries. The IVSCE will be held on an annual basis, during the first week of August, for a period of 8 to 10 days.

This year, China - as a member of the Vasa countries--, will welcome friends from Japan and Sweden. In particular, students with ages ranging from 16-19 years. During the Cultural Exchange period, many Chinese host families will take up responsibility for the international students’ daily life , and will let students enjoy Chinese culture.

2011 IVSCE is hosted by Changchun municipal government, Northeast normal university and Changchun Vasa management Co.,LTD together. The participant application process comprised of Jingyuetan 5A national park and Vasa museum sightseeing, visiting in Manchurian Imperial Palace and the location of northeast normal university, etc. 

We believe we can show our traditional and special Chinese culture to the whole world, serve as ambassadors of goodwill for vis-a-vis all the respective countries, and foster an everlasting friendship.
