Soon, collectors and art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to acquire contemporary works from one of Denmark’s most influential private collectors. More than 150 works from the extensive private collection of Ole Faarup will be offered at auction at the Danish auction house Bruun Rasmussen, with estimates starting from DKK 1,500 (approx. EUR 200).

A remarkable piece of Olympic history is set to go under the hammer at the Danish auction house Bruun Rasmussen. On 1 March, collectors will have the rare opportunity to bid on what is considered the world’s first Olympic medal, dating back to the first modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896. The medal carries an estimate of EUR 26,000–40,000.
When the Danish auction house Bruun Rasmussen holds its Live Auction on 11 December, collectors and fashion enthusiasts will have the opportunity to acquire two designs by internationally acclaimed designer Virgil Abloh: the “Admiral” jacket from 2019 and the iconic “Paint Can Bag.” Both designs testify to Abloh’s creative vision and his significance in the modernization of luxury fashion.
On 20 November, Bruun Rasmussen will put ten works by the Indian artist and yogi Sohan Qadri up for auction – a rare collection where Indian spirituality meets Nordic modernism.

Bertha Wegmann’s “Summer” returns to Poland after 75 years The painting, depicting a mother nursing her twins, resurfaced last year in Denmark. Expert Sofie Normann Christensen traced its provenance, confirming it as the long-lost museum masterpiece now welcomed back to the National Museum in Wrocław.
On 19 November, Bruun Rasmussen presents a modern art auction featuring a rare work by CoBrA artist Constant: La femme terrible from 1949. The painting was created after Constant’s wife left him for Asger Jorn, reflecting grief, anger, and artistic renewal. An early testament to the CoBrA movement’s force and Constant’s unique ability to transform life into art.
Bruun Rasmussen will auction the private collection of four Glücksburg princesses on 3 November, featuring art, silver, and furniture connected to European royal history.
Hammershøi’s early works Job (1887) and Standing Woman (1893) showcase his experimental approach to form and his depiction of the existential conditions of human life. The live auction at Bruun Rasmussen in Lyngby will take place on October 30 – viewing from October 23–29.
