PEMA to host webinar exploring views and technical challenges for new generation of ship-to-shore and yard cranes
The Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA) is to host a webinar entitled Views and Technical Challenges for the New Generation of Ship-to-shore and Yard Cranes, which will include presentations from five leading experts from the global ports and terminals sector, followed by a deep-dive Q&A session.
The webinar will be held on Thursday, October 15th, 2020 at 14:00 CET on the Zoom video conferencing service. Questions for the panel should be submitted to Petar Karaivanov, PEMA Head of Administration and Events, at email@example.com by Monday, October 12th.
“In these exceptionally challenging times, it’s more important than ever that we understand the approaches and technologies needed to forge a new future for the ports and terminals sector. PEMA is dedicated to enabling greater understanding within the sector and the wider community,” says PEMA President and Chairman of the Board, Ottonel Popesco.
The centrepiece of the 90-minute webinar will be presentations delivered by five keynote speakers which will be moderated by Pat O’Leary, PEMA Head of Technology.
Marc Desmons, Consulting Engineer MarCrane and former Director of Engineering TIL.; Detlev Schumacher, Consulting Engineer and former Technical Manager Eurogate Technical Services; Giuseppe Gargiulo, Head of Newbuinding, MSC; Etienne Delvallee, Engineering/Procurement, CMA TERMINALS HOLDING; and Luis Canto, Chief Technical Officer, MMS Port Holdings Sdn. Bhd., will provide unique perspectives of port equipment manufacturers.
Following these presentations, an interactive Q&A session giving participants the opportunity to discuss issues raised during the presentations in greater depth.
