Göteborg Landvetter Airport highly commended in Eco-Innovation Award

Swedavia’s Göteborg Landvetter Airport has been named a highly commended airport in the Eco-Innovation Award category by the industry organisation Airports Council International Europe (ACI), which ranks the leading European airports in environmental and climate work.

On Thursday June 13th, Air Canada was welcomed at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with an inauguration ceremony attended by H.E. Jason LaTorre, Ambassador of Canada to Sweden, Mr. Jonas Abrahamsson, CEO Swedavia, and MD, International Sales, Mr. Rocky Lo, Air Canada. Operating direct routes to Toronto and Montreal five times a week, Air Canada will be an important addition to Stockholm Arlanda.

Airport Director: Important to know before your summer trip

The most travel-intensive period of the year is here. A large number of passengers are expected to pass through Stockholm Arlanda Airport during June, July and August, and the airport offers a total of 17 new scheduled routes during the summer season. "I would like to wish everyone a warm welcome to Arlanda this summer," says Arlanda's Airport Director Karl Eklund.

Swedavia’s traffic statistics for May 2024: International travel within Europe continues to be prioritised despite the macroeconomic situation, while domestic air travel continues to see weaker growth

During May, more than 3 million passengers flew via one of Swedavia's ten airports. This represents an increase of 2 per cent compared to May of last year. Despite macroeconomic headwinds, international traffic increased by 6 percent and was driven by increased international travel within Europe.
