    Plastic-free fertilizers from Swedish startup could boost sustainable sunflower production

    In 2025, the Swedish Ag-Tech startup Cropcision will run a trial of its plastic-free precision fertilizers for sustainable sunflower production in Spain, supported by EIT Food. Cropcision aims to improve the financial and environmental performance of farms, forests, and greenhouses, aligning with the EU's Farm-to-Fork goal to reduce fertilizer use by 20 percent by 2030.

    The Umeå company SpinChem has joined the Enzyme Technology Alliance, a group of six European companies collaborating to bring competitive solutions to the biotech industry.     SpinChem plays crucial role in SEK 19 million PFAS-project

    The Umeå based company SpinChem AB is set to play a crucial role in the "Beat-PFAS project", funded by Formas, a Swedish government research council dedicated to sustainable development, with a grant of SEK 19.9 million. The project, led by Professor Jurate Kumpiene, aims to develop an effective solution for removing and destroying PFAS from contaminated soil and water.
