AKQUINET Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Dr. Nino Ostertag joins as CFO alongside Dr. Volker Gerd Fischer as CEO to drive the IT service provider’s continued international growth

Hamburg. AKQUINET welcomes a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO): Dr. Nino Ostertag will succeed Martin de Groot, who has served as interim CFO for AKQUINET over the past six months.

As the newest member of the management board of akquinet GmbH, Dr. Nino Ostertag will take over financial leadership of the AKQUINET Group as of June 23, 2025. The group comprises more than 25 companies with around 900 employees. AKQUINET provides its customers with comprehensive consulting services, implementation, operation, and further development for ERP platforms from SAP, Microsoft, and INFOR. In addition, the IT company operates innovative data centers and offers industry-specific software and customized solutions.

In his new role, Dr. Nino Ostertag will also be responsible for the centrally managed departments of Controlling, Human Resources, Procurement, Internal IT, and Legal & Compliance.

Previously, Martin de Groot had held the role of interim CFO since November 2024. "We thank Martin de Groot for his outstanding commitment. With his open and approachable manner, he has made a special impact on the AKQUINET Group and initiated significant changes," says Dr. Volker Fischer.

Dr. Nino Ostertag was most recently CFO and COO of the Thieme Group, where he focused on digital transformation and the implementation of standardized processes and systems. His previous roles included positions at T-Systems Switzerland, STA Travel Group, and Detecon Switzerland. His expertise lies at the intersection of finance and IT.

Dr. Volker Fischer has been part of AKQUINET since February 2025. Previously, he served as CEO of GFT Germany, a leading software, consulting, and IT services company focused on clients in the banking and automotive/manufacturing sectors. Before that, he held senior leadership positions across Europe at Hewlett-Packard, DXC Technology, and IBM.
