AKQUINET strengthens logistics competence with CargoWise expertise

For logistics companies, the IT service provider AKQUINET also offers comprehensive digitization services

Hamburg (Germany). As a new CargoWise service partner, AKQUINET offers consulting, implementation and support for the logistics and freight forwarding software CargoWise. The offer complements existing digitization services for freight forwarders and transport companies.

The cloud-based logistics and freight forwarding software CargoWise from WiseTech Global bundles all processes along international supply chains, such as transport management, customs clearance, warehouse management or billing. AKQUINET was already a WiseService partner until 2023 and has now entered into another partnership with the manufacturer.

Holistic consulting and support in digitization for logistics customers

"We support our logistics customers holistically in digitization – with CargoWise, but also with services related to operation and development services, service management and security," Volker Fischer, CEO of akquinet GmbH, explains the decision. The pressure to digitize, Fischer continues, is particularly high among medium-sized freight forwarders and often an overall view of the IT landscape and the strategic potential of new IT solutions is sought, as well as support in the implementation of legal requirements such as NIS2. With 900 employees, AKQUINET offers a comprehensive service portfolio for SAP, Microsoft, Outsourcing & Cloud as well as individual developments. In northern Germany, AKQUINET operates certified and highly available colocation data centers for its customers.

Dennis Basan heads new Logistics Competence Center

With the partnership with WiseTech Global, AKQUINET is also establishing a new Logistics Competence Center. "For many years, logistics has been at the heart of the AKQUNET Group's industry expertise, and now we can strengthen the transport and supply chain area again. I am particularly pleased that Dennis Basan is coming back on board here," says Norbert Klettner, Managing Director at AKQUINET for port logistics. Dennis Basan has been recruited as director on 1 January 2026. The new team brings more than sixty years of logistics and consulting expertise to CargoWise. "I am very pleased to be back at AKQUINET as an independent and technologically very broad-based IT service provider and to build up the Competence Center. The first customers are already on board," says Dennis Basan happily. In addition to its technical expertise in CargoWise implementation and integration, AKQUINET bundles its industry knowledge from sea freight, air freight and warehousing and digitization projects in the Competence Center.
