European Outdoor Film Tour Celebrates 25th Anniversary

On 12 October 2026, the European Outdoor Film Tour (EOFT) will celebrate its premiere at the Deutsches Theater in Munich. The EOFT turns 25 – and celebrates this special anniversary with a new edition full of extraordinary stories about people who seek and push their limits. For a quarter of a century, the film tour has brought the most thrilling outdoor and adventure films from around the world to the big screen, making it one of the most important cinema formats in the European outdoor community.

For its anniversary, the programme once again promises high tension, big emotions and breathtaking images from the mountains, wild rivers and remote corners of the world. The complete programme of this anniversary edition is now set – and since a picture is worth a thousand words, here is the new trailer.

The total running time of the programme is around 120 minutes. Including presentation and supporting programme, each event lasts approximately two and a half to three hours. Following its premiere, the programme will be shown at 400 events in 8 countries through the end of January.

The EOFT 2026/27 Programme

Wand in Sicht:

Climber Philipp Hans travels to the Greek Aegean to establish a new route on the rocky island of Amorgos. His dream line rises 250 metres straight out of the sea – and to climb it, he brings along his brother Moritz and childhood friend Falk. But the Greek (weather) gods are not to be trifled with, and teach the three climbers a lesson.

Bravo Les Filles:

Two generations, one route: Sasha DiGiulian and Mariana "Mango" Ordoñez want to free-climb the route Bravo Les Filles as the first all-female team, completing what the first ascensionists led by Lynn Hill failed to achieve in 1999. A film that shows how important female role models are – and that some projects are only postponed, not abandoned.

I Follow Rivers:

For 20 years, Norwegian kayaker Mariann Sæther has wanted to paddle one of the most impressive waterfalls in the Icelandic highlands. Her dream of Aldeyjarfoss has outlasted two world championship titles and the birth of her two children. How do we find our own path between freedom and responsibility? The film follows an exceptional athlete on her journey to the answer.

Six Days To The Edge:

It takes six days and six friends to make this big dream come true – through the savanna, through rivers, flash floods, mud and stubborn undergrowth: to rig a highline across the legendary Angel Falls in Venezuela and feel 1,000 metres of height beneath his feet – something slackliner Lukas Irmler has dreamed of for 17 years.
