Press release -

Construction starts on the 6,5-megawatt solar plant in the municipality of Dallgow-Döberitz in Brandenburg

SECURENERGY SOLUTIONS AG AND SUNOTEC REALISE THE THIRD SOLAR PARK FROM THE JOINT VENTURE SECURSUN PORTFOLIO. OVER 50 FURTHER PROJECTS ARE PLANNED BY 2026.

Berlin/Munich, 21.09.2023. The Berlin based project developer securenergy solutions AG and the European general contractor SUNOTEC have initiated the start of the solar park today, together with the mayor of Dallgow-Döberitz, Sven Richter. Over a 6-hectare area, around 11.500 PV modules with a capacity of 6,5 megawatt will produce climate friendly energy. This translates to 6,8-million-kilowatt of solar energy annually.

“We are pleased to have two competent and strong partners by our side for the energy revolution in our community. Through this project and collaboration from both sides we can make our contribution to climate protection”, says Sven Richter, mayor of Dallgow-Döberitz.

The solar park, built on land complying with the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), will save approximately 6,000 tons of CO2.

“With the start of construction of the 6.5 megawatt solar park we will be able to cover the electricity consumption of almost 2,000 multi-person households in the region. Together with the municipality of Dallgow-Döberitz we can ensure more regionally oriented electricity generation in the future,” explains Holger Stabernack, CEO of securenergy solutions AG. The plant is scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2023. Bernhard Suchland, CEO of SUNOTEC adds: “The fact that we were able to give the green light for the project so quickly is due to the strong cooperation of all partners and the commitment of the community. This solar park is another project from our 1.1 gigawatt SECURSUN joint venture portfolio that we are realising in Germany.”

SUNOTEC, Europe’s market leader in the construction of solar plants, is building the plant in Dallgow-Döberitz. Berlin based securenergy solutions AG is responsible for the operational management of the plant. The Teltow-Fläming region will be home to the next solar park and is planned for the first quarter of 2024.
