Laursen Ready for Monza: Chasing More Success on Ferrari’s Home Turf
After a strong season opener with a Bronze Cup victory at Paul Ricard, Conrad Laursen and his teammates from Kessel Racing are ready for their next challenge in GT World Challenge Europe – this time at the legendary Monza circuit.
Conrad Laursen, Dustin Blattner, and Dennis Marschall delivered an impressive performance in the opening round of this year’s GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, where the Kessel Racing trio not only claimed victory in the Bronze Cup class but also finished as the highest-placed Ferrari crew across all categories. Now, the goal is to keep the momentum going as the second round of the endurance championship takes place this weekend at Italy’s iconic Monza circuit.
“I’m really looking forward to Monza! It’s one of the most legendary tracks in the world, and the opportunity to take a Ferrari to victory here would be absolutely fantastic,” says Conrad Laursen.
“We had a really strong weekend at Paul Ricard, but the competition in the Bronze Cup class is fierce, and we know every team will come back even stronger. That’s why it’s all about staying focused from the very first practice session and making the most of the weekend. The team is, as always, well prepared, and we’re coming in with a strong car, so we head into the race with a solid dose of confidence.”
The second round of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup takes place on Sunday, June 1, with the race scheduled to start at 15:00. A total of 59 cars are entered for the race, where Laursen, Blattner, and Marschall will face competition from 15 other cars in the Bronze Cup class. The race will be streamed live on YouTube.
