Double victory for CLAAS forage harvesters: Two FARM MACHINE AWARDS for JAGUAR 1200 and CEMOS AUTO CHOPPING

CLAAS will be bringing back two FARM MACHINE AWARDS from Agritechnica to Harsewinkel this year. This follows the international jury recognising the new JAGUAR 1200 forage harvester and CEMOS AUTO CHOPPING – both of which have already been awarded a silver Agritechnica Innovation Award – as outstanding innovations in agricultural technology.

As the world's leading trade fair for agricultural technology, Agritechnica has always been an international showcase for progress and innovation. Several awards, including the Agritechnica Innovation Awards, Tractor of the Year and FARM MACHINE AWARDS, recognise the most outstanding innovations and new products. Once again this year, CLAAS is represented with various awards as an innovation driver in the industry.

CLAAS impressed the jury of 21 international trade journalists in the forage harvester and combine harvester categories this year with the new JAGUAR 1200 and the innovative, forward-looking CEMOS AUTO CHOPPING operator assistance system.

JAGUAR 1200 and CEMOS AUTO CHOPPING: Increased performance and efficiency with groundbreaking process automation in the forage harvesting chain.
The JAGUAR 1200 with a maximum engine power of 1,110 hp impresses not only with throughput capacities of up to 500 t/h at maximum process efficiency – achieved by the widest crop flow on the market, fully hydraulic pre-compression for uncompromisingly homogeneous chopping quality, the large Corncracker with 310mm rollers, the drive concept with two independent variable front attachment drives, new high-throughput PICK UP and ORBIS front attachments with up to 16 rows/12- m width, and leading CEMOS driver assistance systems. Other outstanding features include the high level of comfort in the quiet cab with swivel driver's seat and optional joystick steering, pioneering digital solutions in CLAAS connect, the new NUTRIMETER and the chassis with high-traction, ground-friendly drive.

CEMOS AUTO CHOPPING is the logical, consistent further development of CLAAS' AI-supported and cloud-based chop quality analysis. The CSPS value (Corn Silage Processing Score), a key indicator of the degree of grain processing and thus of the quality of corn silage, is determined in real time on the forage harvester. If there are deviations from the set value, the forage harvester automatically adjusts the CSPS-relevant settings. At the heart of this innovation is a camera with a CMOS image sensor installed in the discharge spout, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyse the structure of the chopped material and determine the grain processing level based on this. If the measured value deviates from the target value, the system automatically adjusts the cracker gap, the driving speed and the engine power of the forage harvester. The data determined can also be transferred to the cloud-based farm management system CLAAS connect, where it can be documented and used for quality assurance evaluations or billing purposes.
