"Today, a new crowdfunding campaign has been launched for the world´s first magazine app focusing on "energy democracy." Renewables International talked with the campaign's director about the goals.

Kirsten Hasberg of Denmark quit her job with a renewables organization in Germany this month to launch an app magazine with cross-media content – visual, audio and written - explaining how distributed renewable energy offers a one-time opportunity to switch ownership from large corporations to citizens themselves.

The new video app will bundle stories from around the world about people taking energy production into their own hands to tell stories that are overlooked as the mainstream press continues to focus on the conventional energy sector's hesitant and reluctant to switch to renewables. "
