Huawei introduces a new era of comfortable and elegant open-ear audio with FreeClip 2 – launched alongside a range of innovative new products
Huawei today unveiled a series of new flagship products at its launch event “Unfold the Moment.” Among the new releases are the HUAWEI Mate X7 smartphone, HUAWEI FreeClip 2 earbuds, HUAWEI Watch Ultimate Design smartwatch, and the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S tablet.
Guided by a design philosophy centered on pushing boundaries, the HUAWEI Mate X7 combines a slim and durable form factor with powerful performance and flagship-level imaging. HUAWEI FreeClip 2 sets a new benchmark for open-ear listening, prioritizing comfort, fit, and ease of use. HUAWEI Watch Ultimate Design blends refined aesthetics with advanced engineering, created for users who want to explore the world in style. The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S is designed for creators, offering a high-resolution, eye-friendly display and a smooth, paper-like writing and drawing experience.

HUAWEI FreeClip 2: A fashion statement in audio form
HUAWEI FreeClip 2 features an open-ear design that clips onto the ear, combining innovative audio technology with modern aesthetics to function as both a listening device and a fashion accessory.
Designed for all-day wear, the earbuds come in Huawei’s classic colours—blue, white, and black—along with a new international shade, rose gold. Each earbud weighs just 5.1 g, ensuring a light, comfortable feel with a secure fit.
FreeClip 2 delivers clear, dynamic sound and excellent call quality thanks to its dual high-energy drivers and an NPU AI processor offering ten times the computing power of the previous generation. The earbuds also feature IP57-rated dust and water resistance and offers up to 38 hours of total battery life[1], making them ideal for a busy day in any environment.
HUAWEI Mate X7: A new chapter in foldable design
The Mate X7 is inspired by the “Time-Space Gate” concept and a 1,600-year-old Chinese brocade craftsmanship tradition—one of China’s most treasured intangible cultural heritages. The phone is available in Brocade White with a nanofiber finish, as well as two vegan leather options: Nebula Red and Black.
As Huawei’s first slim foldable smartphone offering imaging performance on par with traditional flagship phones, the new second-generation True-to-Color Camera delivers a 43% improvement in colour accuracy. It is complemented by an Ultra Lighting HDR Camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a telephoto macro camera. With support for up to 17.5 EV Ultra Lighting HDR Video, the Mate X7 captures vivid details in both bright and low-light environments.
Engineered for durability, the device features Huawei’s Ultra-Reliable Foldable Architecture, including an outer display protected by extra-durable Crystal Armor Kunlun Glass, advanced precision hinges, and a three-layer composite structure for enhanced strength.
HUAWEI Watch Ultimate Design: Expanding your horizons
The new HUAWEI WATCH ULTIMATE DESIGN comes in an exclusive Royal Gold Edition which features an industry-first rare-earth purple ceramic bezel with 18K gold inlays, paired with a zirconium-based liquid metal case and a purple-gold titanium alloy strap.
The watch offers a range of features tailored for deep-sea divers, including an innovative waterproof system and direct sonar-based underwater communication capabilities. It also offers an upgraded antenna for stronger connectivity across all scenarios, AI-powered noise reduction, precise positioning via the HUAWEI Sunflower Positioning System, and advanced eSIM communication. The TruSense health system further incorporates X-TAP technology for more accurate and comprehensive health monitoring[2].
The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S is designed to deliver both sharp visuals and high eye comfort. The new PaperMatte Display addresses the common drawbacks of traditional matte screens, offering a clear, natural image while reducing eye strain.
The tablet is built for digital productivity and comes with the M-Pencil Pro and a magnetic keyboard, making it easy to switch between note-taking, writing, and creative work. Huawei Notes includes a wide range of brushes, templates, and resources, while the upgraded GoPaint app introduces new animation tools that help bring ideas to life. For video creators, Wondershare Filmora now supports keyboard shortcuts, and WPS Office delivers advanced tools for document editing, presentations, and data processing.
Huawei emphasizes that this launch represents more than technological upgrades—it reflects the company’s long-term commitment to user-centric innovation. Under the brand proposition “Now Is Yours”, Huawei aims to build open and inclusive connections across regions and cultures, allowing more people to enjoy the benefits of technological progress.
Pricing and availability
HUAWEI FreeClip 2 will be available from 26th of January at selected retailers, with a recommended retail price starting at 1799 DKK.
HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S, HUAWEI Watch Ultimate Design, and HUAWEI Mate X7 are not part of the Nordic launch at this time. We encourage users to follow our channels and website for future updates and product news.
