Huawei launches WATCH FIT 5 Series: A strong combination of health, fitness and design
On May 7, 2026, Huawei introduced the WATCH FIT 5 Series, a stylish smartwatch that combines advanced health and fitness features with a lightweight and durable design. It is designed to function as a natural everyday companion – whether for outdoor activities, training or continuous health tracking, while fitting into a modern and active lifestyle.
A bright, large display and color options for all styles
The Huawei Watch Fit 5 Series offers a varied color palette to suit different styles. Watch Fit 5 comes in purple, white and black, while Watch Fit 5 Pro comes in orange, white and black. The Pro models are made from aerospace-grade titanium, offering a combination of low weight and high durability. The white Pro version also features nanoceramic material as an additional finish.
With its large and bright display, the smartwatch is easy to read in different lighting conditions – both outdoors and during active days on the go. Watch Fit 5 has a 1.82-inch colorful display, while Watch Fit 5 Pro has a 1.92-inch 2.5D sapphire glass[1] display with ultra-thin 1.8 mm black borders.
The Pro version’s display reaches a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits, making it clearly visible even in strong sunlight, and is complemented by an adaptive refresh rate from 1 Hz to 60 Hz[2] for a seamless experience.
Diverse workout experiences: from playful to advanced
For those who enjoy an active lifestyle, the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Series is a reliable companion. Watch Fit 5 Pro supports advanced outdoor activities. The trail running mode offers segment-based navigation, elevation trends and estimated time of arrival, making it easier to navigate varied terrain. For golfers, vector maps of over 17,000 courses worldwide are available, where the green view automatically rotates to match the player’s direction and provide better precision in the game.
All watches in the series can also automatically detect cycling and display real-time data such as virtual power and cadence, providing better insight into performance.
The series also introduces “Mini Workout” mode – a simple way to move during the day to avoid prolonged sitting. No equipment or special location is required. With an interactive panda on the watch face, users can complete short, energizing workouts ranging from 30 seconds to a few minutes.
All-day health monitoring[3]
Watch Fit 5 Series moves from passive tracking to more proactive health monitoring, focusing on heart health, women’s health and overall wellbeing. The series is designed to provide a more continuous and accessible overview of health over time in a simple way.
The Pro version includes features such as pulse wave-based atrial fibrillation (A-fib) detection, ECG app, and arterial stiffness measurement[4], which can support early detection and follow-up of key health indicators.
The watch also includes women’s health features[5] linked to cycle-based tracking, where the temperature sensor monitors changes in wrist temperature and helps understand the body’s natural cycles over time, contributing to greater insight and a better overall understanding of health.
Contactless payments directly from the wrist
Contactless payments have become a natural part of everyday life for many smartwatch users. With Curve Pay on HUAWEI Watch devices, it becomes easier to pay directly from the wrist without using a phone, while maintaining both security and convenience.
In addition to fast and seamless payments with the Watch Fit 5 Series, users also gain access to several features via Curve Pay, such as:
- Direct “tap-to-pay” functionality at many terminals, as well as card management tools in the app, including Go Back in Time®, which allows users to adjust a payment afterwards
- A unified digital wallet where multiple cards can be managed in a single interface.
- A secure feature that detects if the watch is removed from the wrist and then requires a passcode for access
Curve Pay is available in a large number of European countries, including Denmark. The service is activated via the Curve Pay app, downloaded from AppGallery, App Store, Google Play or Galaxy Store, and linked to the watch.
Long battery life for an active everyday life
With the Watch Fit 5 Series, users get up to 10 days of battery life under light usage and up to 7 days under typical usage. The watch also supports fast charging and wireless charging.
Availability and price in Denmark
The Huawei Watch 5 Series will launch in Denmark on May 18, 2026 and will be available through selected retailers.
Watch Fit 5 Pro has a recommended retail price of 2,199 DKK and Watch Fit 5 of 1,499 DKK.
The launch will be followed by a promotional offer with 300 DKK discount on the Pro model and 400 DKK discount on Watch Fit 5, valid until June 14, 2026.
