HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series – a high-performance smartwatch for an active outdoor lifestyle
Huawei launches the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series, a new generation of smartwatches designed for active lifestyles and outdoor adventures, while their sleek design makes them equally suited to everyday wear. The series combines thoughtful design with advanced outdoor sports features and comprehensive health functionality.
Sleek design for an active lifestyle
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series combines advanced features for outdoor activities with a sleek design and introduces several new options across colors, materials and straps.
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 is available in two sizes, 46 mm and 41 mm, and a total of six colors. The 46 mm model comes in yellow, blue and black, while the 41 mm model comes in pink, blue and grey. The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro is available in three colors: yellow, green and black.[1]
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro stands out with a scratch-resistant nanoceramic bezel and a titanium alloy case[2], combining excellent durability with a premium feel. The watch is paired with a fluoroelastomer strap featuring the HUAWEI EasyCross design, which tucks the end of the strap securely underneath. This creates a comfortable fit with no loose end getting in the way, whether in everyday life or during intense outdoor activities.
Advanced new features for skiing and cycling
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series offers a wide range of workout modes, advanced training data and integrated safety features for outdoor enthusiasts and fitness-minded users alike.
For the first time, the series introduces dedicated workout modes for indoor snow sports, making it possible to practice skiing and snowboarding regardless of the season or location. Using multiple sensors, the watch can automatically detect skiing and snowboarding and record active training time by analyzing subtle changes in body position and elevation – even when a GPS signal is unavailable.
During a session, the watch records metrics including distance, speed and total descent. Intelligent filtering also distinguishes active skiing from rest periods and time spent on a lift or conveyor belt, providing a more accurate view of the session itself.
For outdoor skiing, maps of more than 3,000 ski resorts worldwide can be downloaded through the Huawei Health app and synced directly to the watch. The maps show details including slopes and difficulty levels, making it easier to navigate even at an unfamiliar resort. More experienced skiers can use the information to plan routes and analyse their performance on different slopes.
The watch records the entire session and route, and also introduces the industry's first automatic turn recognition feature, Turn Detection. By calculating turn radius, the feature can recognise and distinguish between short, medium and long turns. The series also introduces G-Force Detection, which calculates and displays the centrifugal force placed on the body during sharp turns. These insights give skiers additional data to analyse and refine their technique.
The new Team-Up feature also makes it possible to follow the location and training data of other group members in real time while skiing together, offering added reassurance and making it easier to stay together on the slopes.
The cycling features have also received several upgrades. Cycling mode now includes Climb Planning, Climb Broadcast and Sharp Turn Alerts. Before a ride, the watch creates a detailed overview of upcoming climbs, making it easier to plan pacing and manage energy along the route.
During a climb, the gradient and remaining distance are displayed in real time. If the cyclist approaches a sharp turn at high speed, the watch can also provide vibration and voice alerts. After the workout, AI Workout Analysis delivers detailed training data and a performance summary, helping users track their progress while reducing the risk of overtraining.
Comprehensive health insights and early identification of potential health risks
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series is equipped with advanced health measurement features[3]that provide users with a clear overview of their health and help identify potential health risks at an early stage.
The upgraded Health Insights feature now provides a comprehensive morning report that includes a personalized Physical Readiness Score and AI-powered health analysis. Together, these features deliver clearer, more actionable insights that can help users adjust their activity and recovery throughout the day.
A key component is the Physical Readiness Score, which analyses data including sleep quality, heart rate variability (HRV), emotional wellbeing and training load. Recovery is divided into five levels, giving users a clear overview each morning of how ready their body is for the day's activities. This makes it easier to determine when the body is prepared for a more intensive workout and when it may be better to priorities recovery.
Smart features for everyday life
To support long-lasting use and continuous measurement, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series features stacked batteries with a high silicon content[4]. The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro and HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 46 mm offer up to 21 days of battery life on a single charge under light-use conditions.[5]
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series also supports contactless payments through Curve Pay[6], allowing users to pay directly from their watch without reaching for their phone. The feature is part of Huawei's continued commitment to making the smartwatch even more useful in everyday life.
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series is compatible with both iOS and Android.
Huawei MultiPass benefits
All devices in the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series include access to Huawei MultiPass, including Huawei Health+ membership and up to 90 days of complimentary premium membership across a carefully selected range of fitness and health apps, including komoot, Headspace, Naviki, FIIT and Kotcha.
Together, the apps provide a complete digital ecosystem covering everything from interactive home workouts and training plans to outdoor navigation, cycling GPS and running analysis. Whether users want to discover new ways to exercise or simply stay active, Huawei MultiPass provides access to services that support both training and everyday life.
Price and availability
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series will launch in Denmark on 21 September 2026 and will be available from selected retailers.
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro has a recommended retail price of DKK 3,199, while the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 has a recommended retail price of DKK 2,199.
A launch offer will be available from the start of sales on 21 September, with a discount of DKK 500 on the Pro model and DKK 300 on the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7. The offer is valid until 18 October 2026.
