Passenger to play NorthSide

The English songwriter replaces Michael Kiwanuka at NorthSide 2013

It’s never fun to have to deal with a cancellation, but thankfully NorthSide is now ready with a more than fitting substitute in the form of the very popular British songwriter Michael Rosenberg, who is right now at number one on the singles charts under the moniker Passenger.

Passenger existed as a band for years, but success has come after Rosenberg began working as a solo artist. He continues to release his music under the name Passenger and the first release in Passenger’s second incarnation is the album "All the Little Lights".

The album has given us the single "Let Her Go" by itself, which has gone to the top of the singles charts in several European countries including Denmark, where this week it has made its way up to number one on the official Danish singles charts after eight weeks.

About the new addition to the program spokesman for Northside, John Fogde, says:

- Although it is always sad to have cancellations, we are very pleased to now be able to present a great and highly topical substitute. We actually tried to get Passenger on the program last year, but back then NorthSide didn’t match well with Rosenberg's tour plans. But fortunately that has changed since then, and we are delighted that we have now managed to get him on this year's poster.

Passenger will play at NorthSide 2013 on Saturday the 15th June.
