Danish IT Consultancy Right People Group Expands into Europe

Through a German start-up company, the Danish IT consultancy Right People Group has expanded their business and now delivers IT and management consultants across Europe.

The demand for skilled IT experts is constantly increasing and finding the right match for a specific IT project is a big challenge for many companies.

Right People Group is specialised in exactly this matchmaking and is on a mission to make their services available across Europe to companies in need of specialised IT resources.

Instead of growing the company from the Danish office in Copenhagen, Right People Group decided to found a German company to drive the internationalisation and be in charge of the digital platform across markets – hence the name of the German start-up: Right People Group Digital GmbH.

From Right People Group’s new international office in Berlin, the focus is not only on Germany, but also on Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands and France; more markets will follow step by step.

Søren Rosenmeier explains: “We are very focused on using our experience from 10 years in Denmark, but each market is unique and needs to be approached as such. As a consequence, all our consultant managers are natives from the respective markets and they ensure that our procedures are ‘translated’ to match the business culture and requirements of their specific market.”

Key differentiator ensures high quality and fast service

Consultant Manager Thomas Möller in charge of the German market confirms the need for a market specific approach, although he also sees advantages in the Danish heritage:

“The need for skilled IT consultants is comparable across markets but the German business culture is not the same as in Scandinavia. Decision processes are more complex and we like to have agreements in a more formalised, written form.”

“This said, I feel that our Scandinavian origin and straight-forward, transparent way is experienced as something positive and gives us a competitive edge in the market. After all, timing and quality is crucial when it comes to delivering IT consultants and this is something our procedures strongly support.”

A growing market with room for new players

The high demand for IT specialists is making it more common for companies to make use of agencies such as Right People Group to find the right consultants for their projects. According to the German market research institute, Lünendonk, the business for freelance IT consultant agencies increased with 15 per cent last year when looking at the 10 largest agencies.

International CEO Sören Rosenmeier is convinced that growth is also making room for new players in the market: “We can see that both companies but also other agencies contact us for help because they don’t succeed in finding the right consultants themselves. Our employees are more qualified than an average recruiter at a large agency, but they are also simply doing the hard work that it takes. In my experience, the large companies get a bit spoiled and expect consultants to come on their own but this is simply not the way to reach qualified IT profiles in today’s market.”

“What differentiates Right People Group most from competitors is probably that one consultant manger handles the entire process, from talking to the customer, searching for and interviewing consultants to selecting and presenting the most suitable candidates.
