Shopbox Opens Its Doors in Stockholm After Swedish Investment

The fast-growing startup Shopbox has opened its doors in Stockholm, thanks to an investment by Tommy Jacobson and his new investment company Zenith. Shopbox will now make everyday life easier and more profitable for hundreds of small business owners in Sweden.

Shopbox is a revolutionary app, designed especially for shops and restaurants. The app includes everything small business owners need to run their company. Point of sale, financial and staff management, customer clubs, and webshops combine to make up one single app. Currently over 400 restaurants and small retailers use Shopbox, with that number steadily increasing.

Thanks to an investment of nearly 20 million SEK (£1.6 million, USD$2.4 million) from the investment company Zenith, Shopbox can now reach from Copenhagen to the world. Its first step is to establish itself on the Swedish market.

Shopbox founder Christian Zigler has an extensive background as an entrepreneur in the Danish tech industry, including as founder of the content marketing platform Preview Networks which was sold in 2012. Since 2011, Zigler’s focus has been on developing Shopbox.
