A good mood and a longing to meet again characterised Elmia Wood 2022 with its many satisfied visitors and exhibitors. Nearly 26,000 visitors walked determinedly around the trail that took them to over 270 exhibitors from 22 different countries.
At Elmia Wood there are many important topics to discuss. One of them is the spruce bark beetle. The eight-toothed spruce bark beetle is one of the most serious bark beetle pests in our European spruce forests and Sweden, where it continues to cause major problems, is not spared.
Friday’s politicians’ debate attracted a large audience to the stage at Wood Square. All the parties in Sweden’s Riksdag were represented except the Green Party, which declined to participate.
With more than 260 exhibitors from 22 different countries, the fair has products that interest almost everyone. And there are masses of innovations that visitors are crowding to see.
Today the gates opened for Elmia Wood 2022 in Bratteborg south of Jönköping. It was a fantastic start with many visitors. The fair was opened by Sweden’s Minister for Rural Affairs, Anna-Caren Sätherberg. “The importance of forests for the economy, jobs, climate and recreation cannot be underestimated".

This year's Elmia Subcontractor will be moved forward by one week and will take place over the period 15-17 November. This also means that, from Autumn 2022, the fair will be held over three days.
