Iveco Bus at Cité du Design in Saint-Etienne for a traveling exhibition “Around Autofiction”

Iveco Bus shows its Bus Rapid Transit concept Crealis in the traveling exhibition named Around Autofiction – Mobilities of the Future with Unesco’s Creative Design Cities which takes place at the Cité du Design (Design Centre) in Saint-Étienne – France.

The concept technology and design Crealis, developed by Iveco Bus for the urban mobility, is on display at the Saint-Étienne Cité du Design in France until end of July 2022.
This traveling exhibition brings together automotive industries and designers, all members of the UNESCO Creative Cities of Design Network: -Detroit, Geelong, Graz, Kortrijk, Puebla, Saint-Étienne and Turin- to share their experiences and their visions of tomorrow’s mobility.

The Bus Rapid Transit concept Crealis presented on the exhibition «Around Autofiction » fits perfectly with the themes of this exhibition enriched with workshops which reveal the internationality of the question of mobility and the social, political, and ecological issues that also concern territories. Objects and videos support the work of designers, companies, researchers, students and users on the mobility of the future.

“How can we reconcile a deeply rooted culture of mobility with our new existential aspirations? How are designers taking this situation on board? We are faced with different possible scenarios, different bifurcations. The automobile is questioned, it’s no more a personal property! which bifurcation to take?”, so many themes overviewed by this exhibition in which the Crealis of Iveco Bus participates.

Designed for busy and structuring lines, the 18-meter Crealis can accommodate a large number of passengers. This BRT system can be deployed anywhere, no matter how complex the urban environment is. Its operation is based on dedicated bus lanes with all facilities to run a fast, frequent and regular service.

Available in Natural Gas version 100% compatible with biomethane, Crealis offers significant benefits in terms of both polluting and noise emissions. It works fully to improve air quality and contributes to the fight against global warming. Real efficient alternative between buses and tramways Crealis makes passengers belonging to the new connected city of tomorrow.

This third energy pillar, with the contribution of biomethane, is fully in line with the territory, with the production of low-carbon and local energy, which communities support through the development of methanisers on a rural scale, or with methanization. sludge from wastewater treatment plants on an urban scale.

This model with high added value has been designed and is produced in France, in the Iveco Bus factory in Annonay (Ardèche) near Saint-Etienne.
