Azerbaijan winner of Eurovision Song Contest 2010

A recent poll among professional bookmakers has revealed that Azerbaijan will win Eurovision Song Contest 2010. – There is great interest in this year’s competition. Forecasting is in full swing and many have already placed their bets on the outcome, says Håkan Klingén, founder of the odds comparison site www.nicerodds.co.uk.

Next week Eurovision Song Contest will take place and 39 countries are competing.

Germany runner-up

According to the poll 17 out of 17 bookmakers think Azerbaijan will be the winner of this years competition. The same poll predicts that the runner-up in the contest will be Germany, Håkan Klingén continues.

“It pays to compare the odds”

– As usual there is a big advantage to be gained by gamblers who take a minute to compare bookmakers´ odds before placing their bets. Right now the greatest odds on Azerbaijan being the winner are 2,70, whilst the minimum are 2,00. Even greater differences in odds can be found for those who want to bet on Switzerland as winners. The most generous bookmaker will pay 920 times the money if Switzerland wins – as compared with 50 times the money for the lowest paying bookmaker. The odds on Finland is between 50 and 450. This is why comparing odds online, before you bet, has become increasingly popular, Håkan Klingén concludes.
