Spain is promoted as a tourist destination during the holiday season in Finland

On the occasion of the holiday season, the Spanish Tourist Office in Helsinki has launched two campaigns aimed at promoting Spain as a tourist destination for Finnish people. December is the darkest time of the year in Finland, with little hours of daylight and cold temperatures, so it is the perfect timing to remind Finnish tourists of the wonders of Spain so that they can plan they winter holidays in our country.

The first campaign consists in a brand new website about travelling to Spain: https://matkustaespanjaan.fi/. The website is fully in written in Finnish language and promotes several sun and beach destinations, such as Canary Islands, Barcelona, Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca. All of them are key destinations for the Finnish tourists and have direct flights from Finland. Besides, the website provides more information about things to do, events, gastronomy and useful information for travelling to Spain in a safe way. Finally, those who visit the website can take part in a contest to win a trip to Spain.

The second campaign takes place online on the websites of several media from Alma Media, a dynamic multi-channel media company with a strong presence in Finland. During two weeks in December, these websites display the picture of a family enjoying some holidays on a sunny beach in Spain.

Both promotional activities take place in the framework of the campaign You deserve Spain, which is the main campaign from Turespaña and aims to promote our country as a safe destination for the winter season, which is the high season in the Finnish market.
