Industry 4.0 in real – FlexLink shows state of the art solutions at Interpack

FlexLink demonstrates state-of-the-art mechanical and digital integration of two packaging lines with machinery from the Coesia Group. Together with Acma, Emmeci, Hapa and Norden Machinery, FlexLink has set up a smart production line for luxury packaging.

“At Interpack 2017, visitors will be able to follow the entire process of customized orders – from online ordering through production and packaging to delivery”, says Viktor Hermanson, Marketing Manager at FlexLink. “We will demonstrate real production in two packaging lines connected to a collaborative end-of-line palletizing cell. In addition, the installation will be capable of on-demand printing and full traceability”, Viktor continues.

FlexLink will display the company´s latest equipment for food production which has recently passed the 3-A qualification. This is unique among providers of conveyor systems, and the hygienic conveyor platform, WLX, has been assigned the iF Design Award 2017.

With FlexLink’s production monitoring tool, it is easy to access important line performance data in real time. Bottlenecks and root causes are easily identified through utilization reports, trend analyses and comparison. In the FlexLink Design Tool, simulations can be made, verifying the efficiency of new production lines, or the effects of modification of existing lines. Both tools enable proactive work with continual line efficiency improvements.
