In December 2019, Owen Sound Transportation Company (OSTC), one of Ontario’s largest ferry operators, issued a Request for Proposal for a new passenger and vehicle ferry reservation system. Following an evaluation process, the contract was awarded to Hogia Ferry Systems for delivery of their standard reservation system BOOKIT.

Irish Ferries have been looking to replace their current passenger and freight reservation systems and have signed an agreement with Hogia Ferry Systems to deliver their standard booking system BOOKIT. Irish Ferries is part of the Irish Continental Group and is currently operating on two routes across the Irish Sea as well as a direct route between Ireland and France.

For the third year in a row, Swedish IT company Hogia has had a record year: Sales increased from SEK 565 million to SEK 605 million. For the 10th consecutive year employees numbers increased by 25 people bringing the company total to 675. Net profit rose from 34 to SEK 36 million, which is a profit margin of 6%, says Bert-Inge Hogsved, Hogia's founder and CEO.
Hogia Ferry Systems has signed an agreement with the Tunisian ferry operator Compagnie Tunisienne de Navigation (CTN) to deliver the reservation and ticketing system BOOKIT. CTN operates a cruise-like passenger and vehicle ferry service from Tunis to Genoa, Italy and from Tunis to Marseille, France and has intentions to expand their business further.

Eckerö Linjen, operator of ferry services between Sweden and Åland, has signed two new contracts for booking systems. To offer a more flexible and modern booking solution for its travellers, an agreement has been signed with Hogia Ferry Systems for bus and ferry bookings, and with Visit Group for Åland accommodation and tourism services.

At London Transport Awards on March 1st, the London Demonstrator of European Bus System of the Future 2 (EBSF2) programme won the Most Innovative Transport Project award. The award was presented by Leon Daniels and was collected by Mathew Hudson of Transport for London.
In December, Hogia’s Lars Tingström visited the Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law and delivered a presentation on sustainable transportation based on integrated and standardised IT systems. It’s a subject that appeals to many people, not least the students at the School’s Logistics Faculty.
Hogia Ferry Systems have signed an agreement with Argentinian ferry operator Colonia Express, to deliver the reservation and ticketing system, BOOKIT. This is Hogia’s first client in the South American market, meaning that BOOKIT is now being used by ferry operators on every continent, with the exception of Antarctica.
