Milestone Systems speeds up development capacity with new office in Bulgaria

Milestone Systems expand operations in Sofia. Continues to hire and substantially invest in people, innovation and the open platform community

Increasing presence and innovation capacity across the world

Milestone Systems, the number one open platform community in networked video management software (VMS), opened its new offices in Sofia, Bulgaria on Thursday May 9.

The office is home to 150 employees, including a significant part of Milestone Systems’ Research & Development organization and has been designed to support the wider community of technology partners.

Research & Development is a key element in Milestone System’s commitment to accelerate innovation. Milestone Systems will increase innovation capacity by 45 % by 2019 year-end and develop unique innovations that meet future market demands in six key long-term innovation areas. These innovation investments take place in multiple locations in Copenhagen, Sofia and Barcelona, and Milestone Systems continues to hire across these locations – including the new Sofia office.

The new offices in Bulgaria is the latest in a row of substantial investments in people, innovation and the open platform community. Since October offices and innovation hubs have opened in Sydney (Australia), Mexico City (Mexico), Beaverton (Oregon, USA), Breda (Netherlands), Stockholm (Sweden) and Reading (UK). Milestone Systems has offices and representations in 22 countries.

Lars Larsen, Chief Financial Officer and Head of People & Organization, welcomed guests at the launch, and commented: “This office opening happens at a great time for Milestone Systems.
