Nick’s launches vegan ice cream exclusively at 7- Eleven
Nick’s just launched three vegan ice creams exclusively at 7-Eleven across Sweden. The vegan ice cream market is growing but has long been lacking alternatives free from added sugar. After two years of innovation, the team at Nick’s has finally cracked the code. The result is a Vegan Society certified ice cream that is not only creamy and smooth but also contains less than 50% less calories than market leading vegan alternatives.
Nick’s new innovation is the first and so far only vegan ice cream without added sugar that tastes just as creamy as ice cream should taste like. Nick’s has also lowered the fat content in order to meet consumer’s wishes for a tasty ice cream that is lower in calories. Finally there is a yummy ice cream without added sugar that is suitable for vegans, people with lactose intolerance but also caters to the traditional ice cream consumer.
“ Many vegan products are usually packed with sugar in order to cover up the actual taste of the plant based ingredients. That’s why it was important for us to offer a vegan ice cream without added sugar and fantastic taste. The development within food tech is consumer-driven and they deserve food that is better for them. We can provide that.” - Stefan Lagerqvist, CEO Nick’s
The ice creams are launched exclusively at 7-Eleven in Sweden. This was a match made in heaven since Nick’s primary target group can satisfy their ice cream cravings 24/7 at 7-Eleven.
“We know there is an increasing demand for vegan products and we are therefore happy to offer an even wider range together with Nick’s three new flavors. They are not only delicious vegan ice creams, but also have no added sugar - an excellent addition to our current ice cream assortment, whether you are vegan or not, especially now that spring is just around the corner” says Mikael Lind, Category Head at Reitan Convenience Sweden/Pressbyrån & 7-Eleven
The vegan ice creams are available in 473ml pints in the following flavors: Caramel fudge, Triple chocolate and Peanut butter. The new vegan ice cream range contains between 425-460 calories per pint, significantly lower than the competitor’s vegan offerings which contain between 1000-1500 calories.
The recommended retail sales price is 69.90 SEK. You’ll find your closest 7-Eleven here: https://7-eleven.se/hitta-buti...
