Orkla Foods Awarded EcoVadis Silver Medal for Sustainability Performance
Orkla Foods has been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal, placing the company among the top 15% of companies globally assessed by EcoVadis. This marks a strong leap from last year’s bronze medal, and reflects significant progress in how we manage sustainability across our operations.
"The EcoVadis rating is important for us as a supplier because it validates our ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) performance. The assessment is globally recognized as a performance benchmark," says Sustainability Director Lisa Fugl.
EcoVadis assessments are widely used by global customers and partners to evaluate the environmental, social and ethical performance of suppliers. In February 2026, EcoVadis awarded Orkla Foods with their Silver Medal – reflecting clear progress from last year’s Bronze Medal. The new rating confirms solid performance and improvement in all four EcoVadis assessment areas: environment, labour & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Silver medals are awarded to the top 15% of companies assessed.
"This improvement from Bronze to Silver better reflects our efforts within sustainability. Improving the rating is partly due to our increasing ESG maturity, but to a large extent also in finding ways to prove the good job we are already doing with documentation meeting the highly set standards for approval," Fugl says. "With this recognition, Orkla Foods continues to strengthen its position as a responsible and reliable partner in the food industry."
