Club de Vela del Càmping La Ballena Alegre ønsker å dele et spennende initiativ vi jobber med, og som vi tror kan være av stor interesse for dere.

Den 16. april kl. 10:00 (CET) deltar vi i World Sailing Sustainability Sessions 2025, hvor vi skal presentere utviklingen av prosjektet vårt "Know to preserv: Conscious Navigation". Dette prosjektet ble til under Optimist-VM 2023 og har utviklet seg til å bli et viktig verktøy for miljøbevissthet og klimatiltak innen seilsporten.

De siste to årene har vi fortsatt å fremme bærekraftige initiativer og vært vertskap for store internasjonale arrangementer som VM i F18 og Windsurfer. I år jobber vi aktivt med å arrangere Junior-VM i Wing Foil. Innen Optimist-klassen satser vi videre på det pedagogiske aspektet – blant annet under Spring Cup Regatta, hvor majoriteten av deltakerne er under 12 år, og med nye prosjekter med internasjonal betydning.

Vårt engasjement for bærekraft og FNs bærekraftsmål (Agenda 2030) har fått internasjonal anerkjennelse. Vi var finalister i World Sailing 11th Hour Racing Sustainability Award 2023, mottok CETT Alimara Through Sustainability and Students 2024, og har presentert prosjektet på ledende bransjearrangementer som The Blue Innovation Dock under Boot Düsseldorf 2023 & 2024 og Fitur Sports 2024 – viktige milepæler i prosjektets vekst.

The Catalan Government is organizing a trip for international journalists to experience the Catalan tradition of Castells, human towers that reach tens of meters high with only strength, focus and coordination. Last month, American artist Travis Scott featured them in his videoclip "Sirens".

Hence, we would like to extend you an invitation.

The dates would be from October 30th to November 2nd, and would include the following:

- Attendance to the All-saints-day Castells competition in Vilafranca del Penedès (November 1st, 12 h PM).

- Visit to the Museum of Forbidden Art (to be inaugurated in Barcelona in late September).

- Attendance to a human tower (Castell) rehearsal.

- Visit to the recently opened Castells Museum in Valls.

- Meeting with the Coordinadora de Colles Castelleres de Catalunya (Coordinating organization for Castells groups).

- Visit to a wine cellar in the Penedès county.

The Catalan Government agency DIPLOCAT will cover the expenses following the programme, which is going to be send to you once we approve your registration.

The Catalan Government organizes such trips periodically for international journalists, to promote Catalan culture and tradition worldwide.
