Nordlo’s datacenter certified with global sustainability label: Fossil Free Data

Nordlo’s datacenter in Lycksele, Sweden (previously Acon) has been certified with the Fossil Free Data label. This marks the first certification in northern Sweden and demonstrates Nordlo’s efforts for a sustainable and green datacenter. The purpose of the label is to set a transparent standard for sustainable datacenters and thus reducing the global carbon footprint of data.

A majority of consumers willing to pay more for climate neutral streaming

In the Green Data Survey, conducted by Node Pole for the third year in a row, as many as 86% of respondents worldwide state that they would choose a provider that works to reduce their climate footprint – and they are willing to pay for it. As many as 73% state that they are willing to pay more for green cloud and streaming services.

En majoritet av konsumenter beredda att betala mer för grön streaming

I den globala undersökningen Green Data Survey, som genomförts av Node Pole för tredje året i rad, uppger så många som 86 % att de skulle välja en leverantör som jobbar för att minska sitt klimatavtryck – och de är beredda att betala för det. Hela 73 % uppger att de kan tänka sig att betala mer för gröna moln- och streamingtjänster.

Christoffer Svanberg new CEO of Node Pole

Christoffer Svanberg has been appointed new CEO of Node Pole. He has been Chief Marketing Officer at Node Pole since 2017 and has many years’ experience in the energy industry and international industry development. He succeeds Patrik Öhlund, who will take up the position as Director, Energy Markets at Microsoft Cloud in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Christoffer Svanberg ny vd för Node Pole

Christoffer Svanberg har utsetts till ny vd för Node Pole. Han är sedan 2017 marknadsdirektör på Node Pole och har en mångårig erfarenhet av energibranschen och internationellt etableringsfrämjande. Sweden named the best place in Europe for datacenter investments

The Arcadis Data Center Location Index 2021 names Sweden as the best place in Europe for datacenter investments, and fourth best in the world. Arcadis highlights Sweden’s great download speeds and energy security, as well as how the government works to make investments more attractive through substantial incentives.

Green steel production planned for northern Sweden

H2 Green Steel has announced plans to build a large-scale fossil free steel production in northern Sweden. A project they hope will eliminate virtually all CO₂ emissions from the steel making process. The production site is planned for the region of Boden-Luleå in northern Sweden. The founder of the company and largest shareholder is the investment company Vargas Holding.
