Nola has furnished the terrace at the award-winning Biomedicum at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.

The terrace around the building is furnished with several groups of the Areal furniture seat, by prominent designers Broberg & Ridderstråle and the Sun table, by progressive designer Monica Förster.

The surfaces of the tabletops and seats mimic the landscape, crafted from laser-cut metal panels shaped to resemble fields of crops when viewed from above. Each of the panels is shaped individually and perforated with holes that catch light and cast shadows.

Behind the interior design stands Nyréns Architects. Biomedicum was recently awarded the prestigious 'Building of the Year', the building industry's own price of the best the construction industry has performed over the past year.
