Jordi Roig, Executive Producer, BLAST Pro Series:

- 2019 will be a groundbreaking season for BLAST with new and very exciting formats being introduced. We’ll be presenting a new Formula1 like tournament format with a new point system and a massive global final tournament at the end of the year. Much more will be announced at a later stage, but needless to say we are very excited to kick off the season in São Paulo, where we the tournament itself will set new standards for live esports entertainment both arena and broadcast wise, Jordi Roig comments.

- The interest for top level Counter-Strike and live esports entertainment is huge in Brazil and you only have to look at the record ticket sales to understand how massive this event will be. We sold out in less than 8 hours and have thousands on our waiting list. Miami will be the biggest esports event in US with the very best US teams competing against the rest of the world elite and the show we’re setting up in the Watsco Center it will be an experience the US scene has never seen before.

- We will present the full tournament format and details at a later stage, but for now people can expect state-of-the-art stage shows, exciting rivalries, a completely electric atmosphere and unforgettable nights with friends and families whether in the arena or on screen, says Jordi Roig.

BLAST Pro Series São Paulo was sold out in 8 hours promising an extraordinary show in Brazil.

Best in class – on stage, on screen and in the arena

The first bi-annual Counter-Strike Major is being played in Katowice up until the March 3 and so far almost every single BLAST team has advanced to the play-offs.

Jordi Roig, Executive Producer for BLAST Pro Series:

- BLAST Pro Series is world-class esports entertainment with world-class Counter-Strike teams. We want the best teams in the world to compete so we are constantly monitoring the professional scene to pick the teams that the audience deserves to see live in action, Jordi Roig says and adds:

-. Aside from having the best team, we also want to include home favorites to give the fans that sense of unity that only comes from cheering together, in massive numbers, for your favorite team. We value the atmosphere in the arena a lot and the Portuguese fans at BLAST Pro Series Lisbon have already showed us the vast support behind MIBR and naturally Brazil will be nothing less than what we saw there. Having the three biggest American organizations represented at BLAST Pro Series Miami, Team Liquid, Cloud9 and FaZe Clan, will also be a thrill to watch in terms of audience engagement, Jordi Roig says.

BLAST Pro Series is about bringing people together to be a part of something bigger.

The sheer talent of the local favorites in São Paulo and in Miami is almost enough to have an exciting tournament on its own but the tournaments are even more stacked than that.

Jordi Roig, Executive Producer for BLAST Pro Series:

- We are slowly forming a proper BLAST family. We want both the teams and fans to feel like they’re a part of something bigger. So when we bring BLAST to North- and South America we’re bringing the best that the global scene has to offer as well. Astralis is ranked #1 in the world, so naturally they will be at both tournaments. MIBR and the American teams respectively will need the full force of their fans to grab the titles.

- At BLAST Pro Series Miami the teams will have to watch out Ukranian/Russian superteam NAVI as well. We’re bringing world-class teams, world-class rivalries and a live show second to nothing that has ever been seen in competitive entertainment, Jordi Roig promises.
