De ”Candela Seven” is een game-changer voor elektrisch varen. De allereerste elektrische draagvleugelboot in serieproductie vliegt met snelheden van 30 knopen boven het water.

Dankzij onderwatervleugels die weerstand verminderen is de Candela Seven de eerste elektrische boot die kan concurreren met traditionele boten qua bereik en prestaties. Met een uithoudingsvermogen van 2,5 uur bij 20 knopen heeft de Candela Seven drie keer zoveel bereik als de nummer twee op de markt.

De sensoren, algoritmen en software van het digitale besturingssysteem maken de Candela Seven uiterst stabiel, zelfs bij sterke zijwinden en in onrustig water.

Daar komt nog bij dat de Candela Seven bijna geen kielzog achterlaat waardoor het perfect is voor de waterwegen van Nederland.

About Candela

Candela is a Swedish startup making electric craft with performance not only rivalling fossil fuel boats, but exceeding them. Thanks to an ingenious hydrofoil system, the company's first product Candela Seven consumes very little energy and high speed and can cruise for 2,5 hours at 20 knots. The hydrofoil system gives several other advantages, such as a very smooth and silent ride. The Seven can drive through 1,2 meter high waves without slamming. Computers and advanced software make sure the inherently unstable boat is stable in strong side winds and with uneven loads. Candela was started in 2014 by founder and CEO Gustav Hasselskog, the serial production commenced in 2019. More than 35 employees from 14 countries develop and build Candela Seven in the company's factory in Lidingö, Stockholm.
