ÅF official sponsor to Drupps in Water Abundance XPRIZE

ÅF, the Swedish engineering and design company with assignments in the energy, industrial and infrastructure sectors and with 10,000 employees globally, now joins Drupps as its official sponsor in Water Abundance XPRIZE sponsored by TATA Group and Australian Aid, a $1.75 million international technology competition for solving the global water crisis.

Drupps, the Swedish water company developing innovative tools for cost-efficient atmospheric freshwater production in any climate, is one of 98 teams in the $1.75 million international technology competition Water Abundance XPRIZE sponsored by TATA Group and Australian Aid that goes into play in January 2018. The winner will present a system able to produce 2,000 litres of freshwater straight from the atmosphere at a historically low cost of $0.02 per litre.

The first round of Water Abundance XPRIZE is set to January 10-20, 2018. The five best teams will earn a spot in the final second round, set to July 2018. Drupps will compete from Lund, Sweden, a very cold place in January, as a statement of that it is now possible to produce freshwater in almost any climate condition.
