Press release -

ELEPHANT COMMUNICATIONS SPONSORS TRIUMPHATOR

elephant communications – event manager and PR agency for the Elephant Parade tour 2014- are sponsoring Sophie Coryndon’s tour elephant Triumphator.

The agency has been working with Elephant Parade on its very first national tour, which sees over 100 elephants making their way through intu shopping centres around the country over a 375 day period.

Many of the elephants on the tour have been available to sponsor and there has been a surge of interest in recent months by businesses both big and small keen to become part of such an inspirational and eye catching tour. There are a number of different sponsorship possibilities and businesses can choose whether to be part of the experience for just one city or for the entire length of the on-going tour. elephant communications has worked with tour artists since January and wanted to show commitment to the underlying aim of the tour, to raise awareness of elephant conservation.

Guy Bellamy, managing director of elephant communications said “We have elephants all over the office, most of which are vibrant, bright colourful designs and we all felt like we needed a more classical addition to the herd. We all fell in love with the classic beauty of Triumphator as soon as we saw the design and we developed a strong working relationship with Sophie Cornydon during the design process. We are looking forward to her coming back to us when this tour ends next August.”

Sophie has also been heavily involved with the schools programme, a first for the elephant parade national tour and has really enjoyed seeing all the children get so involved with the tour. ‘My design seemed appropriate as this tour is going to reach so many people and young children. I have always had a passion for the natural world in all it's diversity and it is wonderful that in designing and painting 'Triumphator', I am part of helping to support that diversity for future generations.” Sophie has played a key part in judging school designs at a number of schools participating in the schools project which has seen over 2000 students get involved with the tour by designing their own elephants. Each city of the tour has selected six winners whose designs have been painted onto half size elephants and stood alongside the work of celebrities and artists from all over the UK.

The sponsorship of a tour ele fits well with the elephant communications community investment programme, which supports small businesses by running business advice days and good causes by giving five per cent of all earnings away to charity each year. Lindsay Marino, director at elephant communications said “Sponsoring an elephant seemed like an obvious step for us to take, not only to promote our business but also to show our commitment to the tour and the plight of the Asian elephant.”

There are still a number of elephant statues available to sponsor through the tour website at www.intuelephantparade.co.uk
