“Running all over the world” Global recruiters, Hydrogen Group, now take on London’s JP Morgan Corporate Challenge

It was going to take more than a bit of rain to stop the employees at Hydrogen Group from coming together to run the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge.  Raising money for UK charity, Barnardo’s, who work to end child poverty and abuse, the group were up for the 5.6km challenge.

CEO, Tim Smeaton, said “It all started with our Sydney office who have now been participating in the JP Morgan run for the past three years. Since then, it’s become a company-wide effort with our Singapore office entering in April and now London.”

Hydrogen’s team was made up of 74 runners across all departments, ages and fitness levels. Working well to support each other, fellow colleagues stepped in to cover for last minute injuries as well as celebrate together after the run. They even crowned their ‘King and Queen of the Park’, Hydrogen’s Jon Spittle (fastest male) and Madeleine Scrafton (fastest female) with an additional £100 donation to Barnardo’s charity.

Hydrogen employees enjoy being actively involved in the community. Last year the company set up a sponsorship fund incentivising employees to fundraise for charities of their personal choice, by offering them each a starting donation of £150. This has proven to be very popular, generating over £30,000 for various charities.
