Imenco Smart Solutions Names Kristian Mayon Vice President - Americas

Broussard, LA USA – November 17th, 2021– Imenco has appointed Kristian Mayon to Vice President of the Americas Region.

Mayon has been promoted from Business Development Director to Vice President and will spearhead the expansion of Imenco’s activities in the North, Central & South American markets.

In his position as Business Development Director, Mayon was instrumental in positioning Imenco to become one of the premier OEM suppliers to ROV manufacturers and contractors in North America. As the US economy shifted and subsea spending was reduced, he helped lead the way to transfer Imenco’s expertise to defense agencies and expanded Imenco’s presence into the Southern Caribbean markets of Trinidad, Guyana, and Suriname through strategic partnerships.

Mayon brings with him fifteen years of experience in the offshore markets, nine of which have been with Imenco. Mayon began his career with Imenco covering the US Gulf of Mexico region for the Norwegian based company. Today, having outgrown two facilities, establishing local sales, service & repair facilities, and rental division, Mayon now leads a team of seven full time employees in addition to a team of contractors for flex work in the company’s US based Imenco, LLC facilities in Broussard, LA.

Imenco was established in 1979 in Norway as an engineering company, spending the inaugural 20 years engaged in a variety of subsea projects. Through the development of their own solutions and strategic acquisitions, Imenco is now a group of companies working in five main business areas: Offshore Oil & Gas, Offshore Renewables, Aquaculture, Marine & Naval and Industrial.

Imenco now leads the industry in innovative smart solutions to the ocean industries, with key focuses on subsea cameras, subsea LED lights & lasers & electronics- technologies, CP retrofit systems for underwater corrosion protection, military and civil aviation refueling systems, subsea & topside lifting & handling solutions, aquaculture camera technology, Marine and Naval visual surveillance CCTV systems, and underwater acoustic communication & positioning systems.
