LK strengthens its sustainability work and creates clarity with new ISO standards

Yet another of LK’s business areas has now been certified in accordance with the latest versions of ISO environmental and quality management standards. The demands for continuous improvement contained in these standards are entirely in line with LK’s development of smarter and more sustainable solutions.

“ISO provides our customers with security that quality is assured throughout our chain; from initial inquiry, tendering and order confirmation through manufacturing, delivery and after-sales service. Certification strengthens our sustainability work and demonstrates that we are a reliable partner,” says Michael Söderberg, business unit manager at LK.

It is LK’s Water and Heating Systems business area in Sweden and Norway that has been certified in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management) och 9001:2015 (quality management). The work of obtaining certification has been going on for some time and was thoroughly implemented, resulting in a successful audit with only one minor criticism.

The new ISO standards have a clear organisational focus with an emphasis on continuous improvement in quality and environment. This is a living system in which new tasks, routines and processes are implemented on an ongoing basis.

“At LK, our attitude is that there is always a better way to do things. ISO certification is an important framework in this regard, but we will not allow ourselves to become complacent. Our work to develop smarter, more sustainable solutions continues day-in, day-out with undiminished energy,” says Michael Söderberg.
