Press release -

From traditional parking garages to multifunctional mobility buildings

The real estate company Hub Park, the tech company Nexer and the consulting and research company Kairos Future have started a collaboration to investigate, analyse and design solutions for the mobility buildings of the future.

- We believe that the mobility buildings will be meeting points, where you can not only park your car, but also pick up food on the way home, borrow a bike or maybe work a couple of hours in the co-working area. The goal is to create a transition from the parking garage you must use, to the mobility building you want to use. Security, service, and accessibility will be key issues, says Tomas Strandberg, CEO of Hub Park.

With one mobility building in operation, one in production and two more land allocation agreements in the pipeline, Hub Park is taking a closer look at the future together with Kairos Future.

-Our search for trends and thought-provoking examples of the development of sustainable mobility and vibrant cities are based on trend analyses in several different areas; mobility, working life, everyday life, innovations, and development in real estate technology. All in all, this gives us a good picture of future needs, and it forms the basis for our partners to drive and develop their offerings, says Nina Norrman, Senior consultant and Future Strategist at Kairos Future.

The analysis of today's needs and future trends will result in both decision material and concept descriptions for future mobility buildings and a digital solution developed by Nexer, which facilitates and makes communication and services accessible for those who will use the mobility building.

-We want to create a digital platform that contributes to the services and vehicles in and adjacent to the mobility building, which supports a behaviour that reduces emissions and environmental impact, while facilitating people's everyday lives, says Mattias Englund, Business Area Manager at Nexer.

The result of the collaboration will be applied at Mobilitetshuset Oceanhamnen in Helsingborg. But also, during H22, Helsingborg's city exhibition, next summer.
