PEMA welcomes two new members

The Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA) continues to expand its membership – which recently passed 100 – with the addition of two new member companies: port equipment manufacturers TEC Containers and Ace World Companies.

“We are delighted that PEMA’s membership continues to grow, and the expansion of the industry expertise represented within the association with the addition of our two new members, is very welcome,” says PEMA President Ottonel Popesco.

“Industry interest in PEMA membership remains high as the association continues to fulfil its mission is to provide a forum and public voice for the global port equipment and technology sectors, reflecting their critical role in enabling safe, secure, sustainable and productive ports, and thereby supporting world maritime trade” he adds.

Established in 1976 and based in Spain, TEC Containers SA specialises in the design and production of port equipment, including equipment for container handling, over-height cargo, heavy cargo, and personal security equipment. The company’s main priority and focus for development is safety and security in port operations.

ACE World Companies is a US based company that has supplied the industry with American-made, custom designed material handling solutions including gantry cranes with up to 500 tonnes capacity for ports and harbours since 1987.
