Nordisk Vindkraft and Tornator sign joint venture agreement for wind power in Finland

Pooling their resources, the joint venture will build on Tornator’s strong local expertise and networks and Nordisk Vindkraft’s technical, engineering and commercial expertise. The initial portfolio comprises six projects with a potential of around 200 wind turbines, located mainly on Tornator’s land.

Arne Lorenzen, CEO at Nordisk Vindkraft, said:

“We are excited to join forces with one of Finland’s major forest owners to jointly develop wind power projects in Finland. With its unique market position and strong local base, Tornator is an ideal partner for us and we believe that together with our experience in wind we will create a very strong partnership for the development of high quality wind farms in Finland.”

Arto J. Huurinainen, CEO at Tornator, added:

"As a responsible forest land owner, we have been looking for a partner who is not only an expert in technical wind farm planning but also shares our values of respecting environmental issues and having open interaction with local stakeholders. Nordisk Vindkraft fulfils all the requirements and we are pleased that Tornator has been chosen as a Finnish partner for such a big and expertized international actor."
