Consumers Turn To The Power Of A Plant-Based Diet In Their Food Choices

Plant-based diets have been rising in popularity over the last five years as consumers understand the benefits of following a meat free diet as it is full of fibre, high in vitamins and good for the digestion. Throughout the COVID pandemic, the demand for plant-based products has grown even stronger.

The Swedish based company Sproud has launched in Europe and has now accelerated launch plans into the USA and Canada, as consumers all over the globe look for plant-based alternatives to milk. The Sproud range of dairy free alternatives can be kept in cupboards and with no need to be stored in the fridge, demand has intensified as consumers look for alternatives to their usual shopping list that can be stored for longer without the need to be chilled.

The company uses the power of the yellow split pea to provide a blast of nutrition for drinkers looking to improve their diet. The yellow split pea is the basis for all its milk alternatives providing a low sugar protein boost with a third of the saturated fat and 50% more calcium than cow’s milk.
