Press release -

Gothenburg universities and industries strengthen ties with China’s vast student resources

September 29, 2014

Stockholm, Sweden -  Today marks the launch of The Gothenburg Challenge, a collaboration between Sqore, the Trade & Industry Group, University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology. The challenge gives one winner from China’s vast international student population the chance to win a fully paid study trip to get to know the beautiful seaport city of Gothenburg and visit it’s two top universities. Through the trip, the competition organizers will get to show a top Chinese student  some of the unique study and employment opportunities the city offers.

Following the November 17th competition deadline, the winner of the challenge will be selected and will receive an all expense paid study trip to Gothenburg. Once they land, the winner will experience the city by guided tours, events and visits to both the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology. The trip will provide perfect opportunity for the winner to meet representatives from the universities and get a taste of the student life of Gothenburg. In 2012 the city of Gothenburg was selected as the number one student city in the world in the International Student Barometer

Asia is a key market for Sqore, with about 50% of the user base coming from the region, and this competition is a part of Sqore's ongoing expansion in East Asia.
