CEO Patric Sjöberg will leave Stockholmsmässan in May 2019

After eleven years as CEO of Stockholmsmässan, Patric Sjöberg will move on to a new top job within the tourism industry. Starting on June 1, he will become the CEO of Stromma Group, an international group with a wide selection of activities for both tourists and business travelers in several countries. The Board of Directors is now initiating a recruitment process to find a new CEO.

“My time at Stockholmsmässan has been incredibly enjoyable and educative, and we have exciting plans for the future. Over the past year we have also worked to strengthen the organization to be well-positioned to meet future challenges and opportunities. But there are moments in life when you receive offers that are too good to refuse, and this is one of those moments for me. When the opportunity arose to run a large international company within the tourism industry, I concluded that it was the right time to move on,” says Patric Sjöberg.

“Patric has made fantastic contributions to the development and modernization of the operations during his eleven years at Stockholmsmässan, and he has delivered strong results. The members of the Board of Directors think it is very sad that he is leaving, but we understand his decision, and I am happy that he will continue in his new role to play an important part in continuing to develop Stockholm as a destination,” says Anna König Jerlmyr, Mayor of Stockholm and Chair of Stockholmsmässan’s Board of Directors.

The recruitment process for Patric Sjöberg’s successor will begin shortly. Until the end of May, it will be business as usual at Stockholmsmässan to continue to develop the operations together with the new Group management.
