Linen textile and ’Corrugated cabinet’ lend inspiration to new wallpapers
Inspiration may come from many different sources. Svenskt Tenn has found it in its own range, resulting in six new wallpapers in various colours. They are intended to complement the other patterns and furniture designs by Svenskt Tenn. For a perfect match, the tones selected for the new wallpapers are adapted from other parts of the range.
The new wallpapers are available in blue, green, red, yellow, cerise and grey. They form an extension of Svenskt Tenn’s linen textile range, with a discreet pattern that resembles the cloth’s structure.
The selection of the red and green tones was inspired by Josef Franks classic ”2192” cabinet – also known as the ’Corrugated cabinet’ – and several colours are adapted from Josef Frank’s universe of wallpaper and textile prints.
”The new wallpapers will appear just fine together, or matched with furniture and prints by Svenskt Tenn,” said Thommy Bindefeld, Marketing Director at Svenskt Tenn. ”We have selected a palette consisting of six colours with a contemporary feel. Deep, saturated colours which may otherwise be absent in today’s wallpaper offering.”
The wallpapers are produced using traditional collagraphy by Sandberg Wallpaper in, Sweden. Price: SEK 800.
