Today is TROLLBEADS DAY

Trollbeads Day is a day celebrated in jewellery stores all over the world. A day where people celebrate and share their stories and their affection to Trollbeads.

Trollbeads started life in 1976 in a small jeweller’s store in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is the original beads-on-bracelet brand. Since then, the Trollbeads collection has grown to include a wide range of jewellery. Then as now, each Trollbeads piece is designed to tell stories and provide new forms of personal discrete luxury.

The Nordic gold

Every year stores all over the world host the Trollbeads Day event. This is a day with fun and surprises in the stores, competitions and last, but certainly not least, the launch of a limited edition bead. In 2018 the Trollbeads Day bead is Wings of Amber. Amber is said to be the gold of the North. 50 million years it has been underway, and what we see is a specific moment in time. A ray of sunlight caught in a piece of amber. On this precious bead, a little insect is taking a rest on the top. Besides amber, the bead is made of Sterling silver. The bead includes a 2018 stamp.

Wings of Amber is designed by designer and Trollbeads founder Lise Aagaard, and the bead is available in stores on Trollbeads Day June 9, 2018.

Exquisite craftsmanship

Trollbeads jewellery is crafted from the highest quality raw materials, and besides amber the collection includes 18k gold, Sterling silver, Italian glass from Murano, freshwater pearls, and precious stones – all crafted in both traditional and modern techniques. Trollbeads is world famous for the enchanting way it plays with glass. Each glass bead is handmade from red-hot glass in the open flame and no two Trollbeads are ever completely alike.
