‘Catan – Rise of the Inkas‘ is now part of the digital Catan Universe

‘Rise of the Inkas‘, the brand-new game version of the iconic board game classic Catan, has joined the ‘Catan Universe’ and is now available for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.

Klaus Teuber, the author of Catan, has always been fascinated by ancient civilizations. Now, together with his son Benjamin, he has brought to Catan the story of the rise and fall of one of South America’s most impressive civilizations.

Trade, build, settle – the basic elements of Catan are the guiding rules in ‘CATAN – Rise of the Inkas‘, of course. However, they will meet some companions here: with the completely new game version, ‚Rise of the Inkas‘, the players’ settlements are doomed in their heyday. The jungle swallows the signs of human civilization, and their opponents seize their chance to build their settlement at the location they crave for. The player who succeeds in leading their third civilization to rise, wins the game. In addition, trading is enriched by fish, coca leaves, and feathers.

The gameplay requires a whole new strategy, challenging even Catan connoisseurs anew and providing long-lasting fun. Detailed characters and colorful illustrations let all players step back into the ages of the Inkas.

The digital adaptation of ‘Catan – Rise of the Inkas’ can be downloaded as an in-game purchase from the Catan Universe in-game store. It can be played online against Catan fans from all over the world, against friends, or against the AI.

The base board game can be played against two players for free, as can the “Rivals for Catan” introductory card game. More content can be activated through the “Arrival on Catan” introduction or tested for a limited time by using scrolls. The whole board game, card game, the expansions and ‘Rise of the Inkas’ are available as one-off in-app purchases. As a result, everyone can personally choose their favorite Catan versions. All the purchased and activated content is available for players on every supported platform which they log into using their Catan Universe account.

The Catan Universe app is available on the App Store, and on Google Play and Amazon. The PC and Mac versions can be downloaded on Steam or played in the browser on www.catanuniverse.com.
