Yanmar Releases ViO17-1 True Zero Tail Swing Excavator with Improved Fuel Efficiency and Serviceability

Fukuoka, Japan (September 1, 2021)  ― Yanmar, has developed a successor to its long-selling ViO17 model with improved fuel efficiency and easier maintenance. The true zero tail-swing compact excavator ViO17-1 will be released on September 1, 2021.

The ViO17-1 benefits from a host of innovations including additional fins in the oil cooler which improve heat balance and reduce machine downtime. Furthermore, by reviewing the shape of the grease pool and cylinder hose, service hours have been reduced and the machine is now easier to maintain.

Yanmar will continue to provide construction machinery that enables safe work and contributes to urban infrastructure development towards a society where everyone can live and work with peace of mind.

Main features

  1. Reduction of machine downtime by installation of oil cooler
    Additional fins in the oil cooler improve heat radiation and contribute to reduced machine downtime.

  2. Improvement of serviceability by adopting new cylinder hose design
    By adopting a new cylinder hose design on the back of the boom, it is now easier to replace the hose in the event of hose damage.

  3. Safety improvements
    LED lights replace the halogen work lights, enabling illumination of a wider area. An accumulator that temporarily accumulates hydraulic pressure and can safely drain the excess hydraulic pressure of the machine has been installed and overall safety of the work and maintenance has been improved.
